Wyndham Grand Hotel | Xiamen, China

The design of the Wyndham Grand Hotel Lobby is inspired by the beautiful waterscape of Xiamen. Organic forms are introduced in various design elements. Two dynamic curves define the main grand circulation to the reception area and welcome the guests. Open plan concept is incorporated to visually and physically connect all the spaces, including the reception, lobby lounge, and the tea lounge. The interior space becomes an interconnected and interactive space.

The design intent is to create a luxurious, sophisticated, and elegant space with ambient lighting, contrasting color, and subtle texture of the materials. The lobby is designed to create a unique lifestyle and guest experience that reflects the local elements. Since Xiamen is well known for artist villages, the lobby will be installed with various artwork and artifacts produced by local artists, so hotel guests will experience a sense of place when they arrive.
